MOMO Pro, from Mometic, is a browser-based momentum scanner that starts at $27 a month. Mometic publishes a side-by-side table against Trade Ideas, and many of its Trade Ideas rows are wrong as of today. This page puts each of those rows next to the facts, dated October 7, 2026, then compares what the two products actually do.
The short answer
- Pick MOMO Pro if you want a low-cost momentum stream in a browser tab or as an installed web app, with the 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET session covered and a five-day trial to judge it.
- Pick Trade Ideas if you want Holly AI Signals every trading day, each with an entry, a stop and a target, plus OddsMaker on TI Premium. Ask the AI Assistant for any scan or screen in plain English, or build it yourself in a point-and-click menu with no code, choosing from 310 alerts and 249 filters. Need something that isn't there? Write your own filter in the Formula Editor, then use OddsMaker to test it against every event it would have flagged.
- Newer trader who wants the premium experience? Trade Ideas. The Channel Bar hands you ready-made channels on day one, the Holly AI Assistant builds windows from your own words, and Barrie Einarson's free Trading Room is open each market day. See Trade Ideas for beginners.
- On price, TI Standard (Core) lists at $127 per month ($1,068 if paid annually); TI Premium (Apex) lists at $254 per month ($2,136 annually). MOMO Pro runs $27 to $67 a month.
- Trade Ideas publishes this page and makes one of the two tools.
MOMO Pro's Trade Ideas column, checked
Mometic's comparison center has a “Trade Ideas vs MOMO Pro” table. We read it on October 7, 2026. The rows below quote its Trade Ideas column word for word, next to what Trade Ideas offers on that date.
| MOMO Pro's Trade Ideas column says | What is accurate (Oct 7, 2026) |
|---|---|
| Pricing: “Trade Ideas Standard: $118.00/mo. Premium: $228.00/mo.” | TI Standard is $127 a month or $1,068 a year. TI Premium is $254 a month or $2,136 a year. |
| “Doesn't support mobile devices or Mac. Suggests installing VMware for Mac” | The Web Dashboard runs in a browser with no download and works on a Mac: Top Lists, Races, TreeMaps, Market Pulse, Picture in Picture charts, stock details and news, and the Unusual Options Activity channel. |
| Market Meters: “No” | Market Pulse in the Web Dashboard shows Compare Count and streaming tickers for a read on the whole market. |
| Integrated realtime news: “No” | Stock details and news are part of the Web Dashboard. |
| “Requires downloads and reconfiguration for Windows 10 only” | TI Pro runs on Windows. The Web Dashboard needs nothing installed. |
| “Trade Ideas does not provide streaming”; “alerts arriving 1 hour after trigger” | Streaming Alerts can fire on every trade, the moment the event happens. Top Lists update every 15 seconds. |
| Custom filter builder: “No”; “Requires programmed filters” | Combine any of 310 alerts with any of 249 filters and type a min or max for each; no code is needed. The Formula Editor adds custom formulas if you want them. |
| AI: “an AI chatbot for support” | The Holly AI Assistant builds Alert and Top List windows in every TI Pro plan. Holly AI Signals (TI Premium) give an entry, a stop and a target. |
| “Trade Ideas does not have ORB support” | Opening range breakout and breakdown alerts at 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 minutes, such as ORU5 and ORD5. |
| Webhook API: “No API access” | That row is accurate. Trade Ideas has no public API or webhook, so outside services cannot connect to its alerts and data or act on them. Alerts, Top Lists and the Holly AI Assistant run inside Trade Ideas' own apps, and so do Brokerage Plus and Money Machine on TI Premium. |
| Extended hours: “limited extended hours (7am EST to 7pm EST)” | Our help documents Pre-market Highs and Post-market Highs alerts, and a Postmarket Volume filter that is active from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. ET. |

Opening range alerts
Mometic's table says Trade Ideas has no ORB support. Trade Ideas has fourteen opening range alerts: a breakout and a breakdown for each of seven windows, the first 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 minutes. The 1-minute breakout catches the fastest moves, the 5-minute breakout and 5-minute breakdown cover the classic first candle, and the 30-minute and 60-minute versions wait for a wider range. Each alert fires the first time price trades past that range, and each has a help page that explains the math.
MOMO Pro offers its own ORB tool on the Ultra tier, where you define opening ranges in 5-minute steps. In Trade Ideas the opening range alerts come with both plans, and you can narrow them with any filters, such as relative volume, float or gap size, or pair them with a bullish opening power bar in the same window.
How many scans you can build
MOMO Pro's table lists five alert types: VWAP % change, HOD/LOD, % change, Halt and Unusual Volume. Its Pro+ tier adds an 18+ parameter screen builder. The Trade Ideas help documents 310 alerts and 249 filters, each on its own page, and any alert can be paired with any set of filters, every filter taking a minimum and a maximum.
191 of those alerts also carry an alert-specific setting: how many days back a New High must reach (0 to 366), the minimum dollar move on Running Up Now, the volume multiple on a 1-minute volume spike, or the pattern grade on a 5-minute bullish engulfing. Technical events are separate alerts too, such as a 5-minute MACD cross above signal, a Fibonacci 62% buy signal or a 15-minute stochastic crossing above 20.
The arithmetic: 310 alerts times 30,876 possible pairs of filters is 9,571,560 alert-and-two-filter combinations, before a single min or max is typed. Add values and alert settings, and the number of scans is effectively unlimited. You do not have to program any of it; the Holly AI Assistant can also build the window from a sentence.
The Web Dashboard on a Mac
The Trade Ideas Web Dashboard is browser-based, so there is nothing to download and it runs on a Mac. It has Top Lists, Races, TreeMaps, Market Pulse with Compare Count and streaming tickers, charting with Picture in Picture, stock details and news, and an Unusual Options Activity channel.
TI Pro is the Windows app. It adds Streaming Alerts, the Holly AI Assistant, and on TI Premium, Holly AI Signals and OddsMaker. On a Mac you can keep the Dashboard open in the browser and add TI Pro on a Windows PC when you want the full desk.
AI in each product
Mometic describes Aura, on MOMO Pro Ultra, as an AI trade advisor with agents that work on MOMO's live data. Trade Ideas has two separate AI tools. The Holly AI Assistant, in every TI Pro plan, turns a plain-English request into a live Alert window or Top List and answers questions about the market.
Holly AI Signals work from a bank of strategies. Each night Holly backtests them and keeps the ones that qualify; during the session a signal fires with the symbol, an entry, a stop and a target. They come with TI Premium, along with OddsMaker, which tests any alert you build as the event.
Mometic's user guide describes MOMO as scanning the entire US stock market in realtime to uncover stocks that are making moves, and on Oct 7, 2026 the guide had no section on historical testing. Trade Ideas adds steps after the scan: measurements of your own from the Formula Editor, strategies tested and optimized in OddsMaker, and a nightly pass in which Holly backtests and re-selects her strategies for the next session, with OddsMaker and Holly AI Signals on TI Premium.
Where MOMO Pro fits
MOMO Pro is a browser app you can also install as a Progressive Web App on supported phones and computers, at a much lower monthly price than Trade Ideas. Every tier covers 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET, paid plans come with a five-day trial, and Ultra adds Aura AI, MOMO ORB and MOMO Gamma.
- Phone-first momentum traders who want the stream on any device.
- Budget-minded traders for whom $27 to $67 a month is the limit.
- Traders who like a single stream of high/low breaks, halts and news over a configurable desk.
