Both find stocks while they move. Day Trade Dash is Warrior Trading's browser-based scanner, chart and news software. It ships with 24 preset scanners. Trade Ideas is ready-made too, and lets you build and test your own scans. Streaming Alerts are the scanner. Top Lists are the screener. The Channel Bar's themed channels come with every plan.

How they find stocks

A fixed recipe, or rules you can open

Each Day Trade Dash scanner is a preset recipe, configured to cut out noise. That helps when you want the same list Ross sees.

Trade Ideas alerts are smaller building blocks: 310 alerts and 249 filters, each documented in our help. Combine any alert with any filters, set a min and max on each, and tune 191 alerts with a setting of their own, such as the dollar move on Running Up Now. Opening range breakouts and breakdowns come in 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 minute versions (5-minute breakout), and technical alerts such as a 5-minute 5/8 SMA cross up or a 5-minute bottoming tail can sit in one window with your filters. One alert matched with two filters already offers 9,571,560 possibilities, which is why the scans are effectively unlimited.

Trade Ideas splits the job in two. Streaming Alerts report an event the moment it prints, such as a new high or a volume spike. Top Lists rank the stocks that pass your filters right now. You can open any alert or filter to see what it measures.

You don't have to start from a blank screen. Channel Bar channels are grouped by what a new trader wants to watch, from big momentum movers to S&P 500 stocks moving up fast. Stock Races line up stocks against each other in a live race.

Beyond the scan

Test it, get AI ideas, automate it

Warrior's Day Trade Dash pages don't list a backtester. In Trade Ideas, OddsMaker takes an alert and filter set and replays it on past trading days. You choose the entry, the stop and the exit. It reports the number of trades, the win rate and the profit factor.

Past results, including backtests, don't guarantee future results.

Holly AI Signals fire during the trading day with an entry, stop and target. Holly is designed to find large long-term potential winners. You choose whether to exit the same day or hold, based on your risk.

Money Machine can trade your own Top Lists and Streaming Alerts through a connected broker. It has a Simulated Mode for practice.

Real time

Both stream real-time data

Day Trade Dash includes real-time market data in every subscription. Trade Ideas Streaming Alerts run on Trade Ideas live market data. If you are okay with static non-refreshing data, Trade Ideas is probably not your best choice.

Trade Ideas also monitors unusual options activity across all stocks; you can open its dedicated channel in TI Pro or the Web Dashboard.

For beginners
